DISCIPLINE
Students strengthen their concentration skills through karate practice and dojo/classroom etiquette, and learn to respect others’ learning needs and training space.

SPORTSMANSHIP
The sport karate arena provides students with the skills needed to understand and follow rules of competition and accept the outcome of their efforts with pride.

FITNESS & FLEXIBILITY
Students achieve their own levels of achievement and highest potential of physical fitness and flexibility through steady Martial Arts training.

ANCIENT JAPANESE WEAPONRY
Advanced students learn the art and history of Japanese weaponry from experienced instructors. Kobudo practitioners develop strong concentration skills and expert hand-eye coordination.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Martial Arts Information and traditional karate demonstrations are offered in support of the efforts of local schools and organizations in our community. We appear at a variety of community events throughout the year.

ACHIEVEMENT
Athletes experience pride, success and achieve recognition for their performances in karate competitions and martial arts demonstrations.

LEADERSHIP
The Kobushi Dojos provide strong leadership to karate students from daily class activities to national karate championship tournament training and periodic belt examinations. Our leadership is evident in the experience of the Kobushi Dojos’ karate instructor staff representing five karate dojos in Florida.

FRIENDSHIP & FUN
Teammates from North Miami, South Miami, Miami Lakes, Doral, and New Port Richey gather every December for the Kobushi Dojos’ Annual Black Belt Promotion Ceremony, Demonstrations, Student Awards Banquet, and Holiday Celebration. Celebrate achievement with our karate kids and adults alike!

EFFORT & DETERMINATION
Through group effort, and instructor encouragement, Karate class exercises help students realize their strengths and exceed their expectations.

TEAM COMPETITION
Karate competitors of all ages have the opportunity to join the Kobushi Florida Karate Competition Team. Athletes are encouraged to participate in sport karate tournament competition. Through their participation in regular karate classes and competition team training sessions athletes karate develop their ring strategies, rules knowledge, and sportsmanship skills.

TRADITION
History, culture and the traditions of the Japanese Martial Arts play a major role in the development of a complete karate school and developmental program. Students wear traditional karate uniforms and belts and earn their places in line in their dojos (karate schools).
