  The Kobushi Dojos hosted a two week tour for Grandmaster Yoshimi Inoue to include instructor training classes and group seminars in Miami and Ft. Myers.

• May 2007
  The Kobushi Karate Championships, held at Flanagan High School in May 2007, hosted over 200 competitors from throughout Florida. Shihan Quintero also hosted a USA-NKF Referee Certification Seminar at which many local Senseis were promoted to various levels of Judge and Referee status by WKF Referee and USA-NKF Instructor, Sensei Alex Miladi.
  
  
• June 2007
  The Kobushi Florida Karate Competition Team competed in Winterhaven, Florida at both the USA-NKF Florida State Championships, and Florida Sunshine States Games. We also helped facilitate the tournaments with a team of volunteer Referees from our dojos.
  
  
• July 2007
  Shihan Quintero and the Kobushi Florida Karate Competition Team traveled to West Virginia to attend the USA-NKF National Championships. The Kobushi instructors and many team members trained in the kata seminars with Grandmaster Yoshimi Inoue and Senseis Caren Lesser-Quintero and Tony Garcia attended the National Referee Certification Course. The team brought home many gold, silver and bronze medals, including championship titles in both team kata and team kumite events.
  
  
• August 2007
  Shihan Carlos Quintero and the Kobushi Dojos hosted WKF Referee, Sensei Alex Miladi, for a 2-day USA-NKF Referee Certification Seminar at the Miami Christian High School Gymnasium. Adult intermediate and advanced students and junior intermediate and advanced competitors were also in attendance and gained valuable insight into their competition strategy and the USA-NKF and international tournament rules.
  
  
• September 2007
  Shihan Quintero travels to Tottori, Japan for two weeks to train with Grandmaster Inoue.
  
  
• October 2007
  Shihan Quintero travels to West Columbia South Carolina for the International Martial Arts Symposium, hosted by Master Ridgely Abele, where he will teach the Shitei kata seminar featuring kata Bassai Dai and Ni Pai Po.
  
  
• November 2007
  The Kobushi Dojos host the Kobushi Kumite Challenge on November 3, 2007, featuring both individual and team sparring events at Miami Christian High School in Miami, Florida.
  
  
• December 2007
  The Kobushi Dojos present the 2007 Black Belt Examination and Promotion Ceremony & Annual Holiday Student Awards Luncheaon/Banquet at the Sheraton Mart Resort Hotel in Miami, Florida on December 2, 2007. Students, families and friends are encouraged to attend. Banquet tickets will be available in the individual dojos.
  

The Kobushi Dojos, under the guidance of Shihan Carlos Quintero, Co-Hosted the USA-National Karate-do Federation National Championship Tournament and USA Team Trials at the Broward County Convention Center on July 14 – 16, 2006. Aside from working as scorekeepers, staging assistants, security and administrative staff, the team earned numerous individual and team national titles and a variety of medals. Shihan Quintero extends his greatest appreciation to our entire team of volunteers, who have made a great contribution to a very successful national karate event!
