Kobushi Dojo North is located inside the California Club Mall just one mile west of I-95 at Ives Diary Road. The Kobushi Dojo North offers traditional Japanese karate classes for children and adults of all ages. Special seminars in self defense, Japanese weaponry, tournament competition strategies and personal fitness are also featured. The Kobushi Dojo North is home to local, state, and national karate champions and the Florida Women’s Karate Competition Team. The Kobushi Dojo North – Classic Karate Family Fitness Center is equipped with durable, impact resistant ethofoam floor mats for an impact resistant workout.

DIRECTOR, Shihan Carlos Quintero, 7th Dan
Shihan Carlos Quintero is the authorized Chief Instructor under GRANDMASTER YOSHIMI INOUE, OF TOTTORI, JAPAN. He is the six-time Venezuelan National Karate Competition Champion and four-time USA National Champion, representing Florida.

CHIEF INSTRUCTOR, Sensei Caren Lesser-Quintero
Sensei Caren Lesser-Quintero is a Fifth Degree Black Belt in INOUE HA SHITO RYU KEISHIN KAI KARATE-DO, Senior Staff Instructor of the Kobushi Dojos of Miami, Coach of the Florida Women’s Karate Team, and USA National Competitor. She is a 12-time national silver medalist and USA national competition gold medalist in 1999, and 2003 through 2007. Sensei Lesser-Quintero is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and serves on the Legal Committee of the USA National Karate-do Federation.

Adult Black Belts
Kobushi Dojo North offers an Assistant Instructor Training Program to encourage Black Belts to expand their knowledge and training through teaching and mentoring. Assistant Instructors are offered the opportunity to improve their leadership skills by assisting in class activities, team tournament events and participating in demonstrations. They gain valuable instructor experience under the guidance of Shihan Carlos Quintero, Sensei Caren Lesser -Quintero and their staff.

Kobushi Dojo North offers a leadership development program through which advanced students can begin developing their teaching skills by conducting warm-ups and leading separate beginner groups within the class under the supervision of Sensei/Instructors.
